PRECIS:
In this accusatory editorial, Jaffer and Wessler claim that the CIA abuses it's powers of secrecy and imply that the officials ought to do something in regards to that by noting examples of the CIA's misuse of power.

PERSONAL COMMENTARY:
The CIA is a distant thing for me. I never really stop to think about what's happening inside the CIA, I guess it's surprising to see a different side to the U.S.

PRECIS:
In this analytical editorial, Ruchir Sharma proves that China is, in fact, not the world's leading economy like many people believe and will not be for a few more years, by providing statistical evidence meaning that the world shouldn't worry about it.

PERSONAL COMMENTARY:
I for one thought China was the leading world power, there is much assuming and not much incentive to really find out what the actual truth is because it doesn't apply to us or at least we don't think so.

PRECIS:
In this passionate editorial article, Richard A. Clarke stresses that although Congress is not doing anything about the growing problem of cyber theft, President Obama's administration should make more of an effort to significantly negative impacts in America by inductive reasoning.

PERSONAL COMMENTARY:
The government's failure to notice leaks in the U.S. inevitably will cause the fall of America's prosperity and security. The internet is a gift and a curse and in order to reap its benefits America's government will have to come up with a better method of handling it.

PRECIS: In this scholarly editorial, Allen Frances justifies the inaccuracy of conclusions of the new edition of the DSM from the American Psychiatric Association by examining its history and presenting facts.

PERSONAL COMMENTARY:
I was already aware the DSM was under scrutiny and reading about anything to do with psychology is always of interest to me. Mental Health is a touchy subject and I believe the APA is doing the best it can.

Rise of unemployment has increased the need for outsourcing jobs.

PRECIS: In this to the point editorial, Douthat asserts that Obama needs to make Americans economically fear election of Romney by pointing out how Obama seems to divert America's attention to social issues, such as gay rights, whenever the economy comes up, and that though it sent the media into a frenzy, that on its own will likleu not earn him reelection.

COMMENTARY: The ugly side of politics is heightened during reelection. However messed up it is that our President is going against all the wrongs of the other party solely for the purpose of reeelection, if marriage rights are granted to the gay commungood out of it, then good is paradoxically coming from bad.
